Volta Ad Revenue Up 83% in 2Q 2022.

Volta, the company which operates ad supported electric vehicle charging stations release it’s second quarter 2022 financials yesterday.  Here are the highlights from Volta’s earnings release, Volta’s earnings presentation and the conference call.

  • Total revenue increased by 121% to $15.3 million.  Media revenue (e.g. ad revenue on charging stations) increased by 73% to $11 .2 million.   Here’s a breakdown of second quarter revenue.

  • The company expects third quarter revenue to be $17-18 million.
  • Volta had 5,425 screens installed at 2,920 charging stalls at June 30, 2022, an increase of   15% during the quarter to 2,920.
  • Adjusted EBIDTA was a negative $33.4 million for  the second quarter of 2022 down from a negative $41.4 million during the first quarter.
  • Cash and marketable securities totaled $103 million at June 30, 2022.
