Road Runner Expands to New York, Philly and DC

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA – July 19, 2021 – Road Runner Media, a media company driving the future of road safety and advertising, today announced that its mobile digital Out of Home (mDOOH) network is now active in Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and the New York City region, including Northern New Jersey and Long Island.

In total across the 3 regions, Road Runner has equipped more than 160 Siemens technicians’ vans with its rear-facing Digital Brake Light, which serves a dual purpose of improving safety on the roads and providing national brands and local businesses the opportunity to connect with consumers on the move. In March, Road Runner announced a commercial partnership to install up to 2,500 screens on Siemens vans by 2022.

In addition to the new markets, Road Runner vehicles are active in Atlanta, Boulder, Chicago, Dallas and Los Angeles.

“As we progress with the continued growth of our national network, we are thrilled to see the increased enthusiasm and demand from advertisers and agencies seeking innovative and creative ways to reach and engage target audiences on the move,” said Chris Riley, CEO of Road Runner. “By year’s end, we expect to have at least 1,500 Road Runner screens on the roads in major markets across the country, enhancing safety, helping brands connect with consumers, and disseminating pertinent information to the public in real-time.”

Road Runner installs 46” Samsung high-resolution connected screens to the rear of vans and trucks. The screens are integrated into vehicle operations to serve as a Digital Brake Light, providing surrounding drivers with a vibrant and easily seen signal as to when the vehicle operator is braking, turning, reversing, or activating emergency flashers. When the vehicle is in motion, the screens display brand advertising and public service announcements.
