    ABOUT US
Astro was initially founded in 1967. Astro Outdoor Advertising, Inc was established In May of 1983 by our parents, Jerry and Joann Painter when they acquired the assets of Astro Inc. Astro specialized in highway advertising with the rental and maintenance of their unique, smaller displays. When the business first opened, billboards were all hand painted, made of wood, and took longer to produce. Astro Outdoor Advertising expanded the advertising coverage and diversified into several additional areas of signage as Astro Sign Company.
Today, ownership and management is by us, brothers Chris, Doug, and Jason Painter. Statistics show that roughly 65%-70% of family businesses do not survive to the second generation. We realize how very fortunate we are. Although some, it is not all by luck or all by chance that we find ourselves “beating the odds”. It is work ethic, instilled upon us. Excellent customer service, a focus on quality, hard work, and dedication has kept our family business going since day one. We build upon the foundation established and the values learned from our parents. The experience and working knowledge we have gained over the years, compliments our emphasis of implementing cost effective technology to best serve the customer.
Additional statistics show that roughly 11% of family businesses survive and are viable into the third generation. With our sons, daughters, nieces and nephews now starting to work with us, again we find ourselves very fortunate to see the third generation become active.
We have a great team in place and are ready to work with you.
