A Good Ride Sheet

What’s in a good ride sheet?

  • Good sign pictures.  Nice to have a closeup view and an expanded view.
  • A map showing the sign’s location.
  • Impressions data or traffic data.
  • Illumination information.
  • Address and latitude/longitude so that a client can easily look the sign up using google maps.
  • Contact info which gives a name and number and email for someone to call to buy advertising.  Insider recommends a an actual name so that prospects know exactly who they should call.
  • Some out of home companies include pricing and some leave out pricing.  Putting pricing in the ride sheet may scare away some prospects but it will mean that prospect who call are highly motivated.

Here’s an outstanding ride sheet for Zalla Media’s digital billboard in Northern Kentucky.  Three views of the sign, a map, illumination and impressions info and great contact info.  Proof that you don’t have to be big to prepare effective marketing materials.  Well done Shannon Hollenkamp!
