Strong First Quarter 2022 Results for Link Media

Here are highlights and comments from Link Media parent company Boston Omaha’s 10-Q for the 1st quarter of 2022.

 

In the first quarter of fiscal 2022, there was a 27.7% increase in net billboard revenues from the first quarter of fiscal 2021, reflecting an improvement in rental and occupancy rates across a number of markets as well as the acquisition of billboards from Keleher and Missouri Neon in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2021, which accounted for approximately 13.8% of our billboard revenues in the first quarter of fiscal 2022.

Link Media now owns and operates billboards in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, Oklahoma, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

At March 31, 2022, Boston Omaha had approximately $87 million in unrestricted cash and approximately $24 million in U.S. Treasury trading securities.

Insider’s Take: With significant cash resources and low corporate debt balances, Link Media will continue to seek out additional acquisition opportunities.  Insider expects them to be patient and strategic as they are in the business for the long haul.
